Introducing Castellón in WTM London 2023
Introducing Castellón promotes the province in London to extend the tourist season
From November 6 to 8, the World Travel Market (WTM) takes place in London, one of the most important tourism fairs internationally and of great importance for our country because it is taking place in the United Kingdom, one of the main tourist emitters of Spain.
During the event, the Introducing Castellón product club plans a series of professional interviews with tour operators and tourism agents from European markets, especially the English market, who have previously shown great interest in discovering new destinations in Spain and are looking to have with the largest number of tourist places in our country.
In this context, Castellón is presented as a “new and fresh” destination option within the Spanish Mediterranean offer, which offers the well-known values of Spain and the Valencian Community. Thus, the combination of its “excellent coastline together with its heritage wealth, both natural and historical-artistic, and its resources for the practice of sports activities, have awakened the professional interest of these specialized operators.”During the days of the WTM, the Introducing Castellón product club will be negotiating possible programming with tour operators with the aim of deseasonalizing the tourist season in the province, which is why a special effort has been made to ensure that the programming dates are in the spring and autumn months.
Attendance at the WTM is one of the relevant points within the Action Plan that the Introducing Castellón Product Club has marked for this year 2023 aimed at carrying out marketing actions in those issuing markets where the Castellón airport has an air connection , as is the case of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Belgium or Italy.
